DM Buddy is a Windows desktop application designed to assist Dungeon Masters with managing tabletop role-playing campaigns, creating encounters, organizing characters and locations, tracking combat, and maintaining campaign notes and reference materials.
DM Buddy is developed primarily for personal, non-commercial use.
DM Buddy is provided as a campaign-management and gameplay-assistance tool. Users are responsible for their own campaign content, uploaded files and any other information they enter into the application.
The application may be modified, updated or improved over time. Features and compatibility may change as development continues.
Campaign notes, characters, maps, settings and other user-generated content are stored locally on the user's computer.
Users retain ownership of their original content. DM Buddy does not claim ownership of user-generated campaign materials.
Users are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of important information.
DM Buddy offers optional Google Drive integration for storing and retrieving application backups.
When a user chooses to connect Google Drive, the application requests permission to create and manage files used by DM Buddy through the Google Drive API.
This integration is intended for application backups and synchronization, not for general access to unrelated personal files.
Google Drive integration is optional. The application can be used without connecting a Google account.
Cloud-stored backups remain subject to Google's applicable service terms, storage limits and availability.
Users may disconnect Google Drive access through the application and revoke granted permissions through their Google Account settings.
Information about how DM Buddy handles data, Google authorization and cloud backups is provided in the Privacy Policy:

DM Buddy may integrate with third-party services, including Google Drive. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
DM Buddy is an independent application and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Google, Wizards of the Coast or Hasbro.
Any third-party trademarks, game rules, artwork or other intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners. Users are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate rights to materials they import or use.
DM Buddy is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without guarantees of uninterrupted operation, error-free performance or permanent compatibility with all systems and third-party services, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Although the application includes backup and restoration functionality, no backup system can guarantee against every possible form of data loss.
Users should maintain independent copies of important campaign information.
These Terms of Service may be updated as the application evolves. Significant changes will be reflected in the updated terms and revision date.
