DM Buddy 2.0 is a personal-use Windows desktop application for managing tabletop role-playing campaigns.
DM Buddy stores user-created application data, including campaigns, NPCs, notes, Bestiary entries, magic items, settings, and uploaded files.
Data is primarily stored locally on the user's computer.
If the user chooses to connect Google Drive, DM Buddy requests permission to create and manage authorized backup files in their Google Drive account.
These backups may contain application databases, campaign records, uploaded images, DM Screen references, soundboard audio, and associated backup metadata.
Google Drive authorization credentials are stored locally using Windows-protected credential storage. Backup ZIP archives uploaded to Google Drive are not separately encrypted by DM Buddy.
DM Buddy does not sell user information or use Google Drive data for advertising. Backup data remains in the Google account selected by the user and is subject to Google's applicable privacy and security policies.
Users can disconnect their Google account, delete backups from Google Drive, and revoke the application's authorization through their Google Account settings.
Local application data can be deleted separately from the user's computer.
For privacy questions, contact the developer using the support email provided on the application's Google authorization screen.
